Join the Ad Hoc Committee for Advocating Scholarly Communications and the Collection Development Section for a panel discussion on the changing landscape of scholarly communication and the impact of these changes on academic and hospital libraries. The program will provide an overview of the ad hoc committee’s 2010 survey and an update on the National Institutes of Health public access policy. Panelists will then highlight some key issues and engage participants in a discussion of new roles and challenges for libraries in areas such as acquisition and licensing of ebooks, the role of the library as publisher, resource sharing, and research data curation.
